Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) | พิพิธภัณฑ์ศิลปะไทยร่วมสมัย
“Excellent art collection within easy reach of the skytrain”
The museum has varied collection of excellent mostly Thai art on 5 floors. There's contemporary as well as traditional (Buddhist) art, realistic as well as abstract and surrealistic, paintings, photos, puppets, sculptures and mixed and multi-media.
The surrealistic bronzes of Thongchai Srisukprasert were simply amazing, as were the engaging puppets of Vachara Prayulkam and beautiful paintings by Vorasan Supap. Definitely recommended for art lovers.
There are a small bookstore and coffeeshop downstairs and some modern installations in the garden. Free entrance on national holidays (2015).The museum is a 10-minute taxi or bus ride (bus 29) from BTS Mo Chit.
